Meat the #1 Cause of Global Warming

In a recent New York Times article titled Trying to connect the dinner plate to climate change we find that PETA is using a UN report charging the livestock industry for global warming, to support their cause. They have started a media blitz with the tag line Too Chicken to Go Vegetarian? Meat Is the No. 1 Cause of Global Warming They show Al Gore eating a drumstick in the ads they are placing in environmental magazines. They used Gore an environmentalist and a meat eater. They are using his image to let people know that to be an environmentalist you must also be vegetarian, since the livestock industry is the #1 cause of green house gases.
